Dr. Michael R. Gallis, an assistant professor of physics, Penn State Schuylkill, who creates animations for physics and astronomy, and those animations are released under CC 3.0-BY-NC (also available in Youtube). The animations can be used for demonstrating science concepts. Those animations are quite helpful for explaining principles or phenomenon such as “Why Solar Eclipses Don't Happen Every Month ” or “Compton Scattering ”. Even the animations are created for college physics courses, however, some some topics are suitable for K-12 science courses. I introduce and promote Dr. Gallis' animations in K-12 Taiwan, and I expect that those well-designed and CC licensed animations will pose an impact in K-12 in Taiwan.

Gallis 所製作許多物理與天文的動畫，採 CC 3.0 授權 (姓名標示-非商業性)， 在 Youtube 也可以看到。 不過這些動畫是 avi 格式的影片，也就是沒有互動式功能，但是對於闡釋科學現象或原理卻很有幫助，例如解釋為何日食不會每個月都發生，以及康普敦效應。雖然這些動畫是為大學的物理課程所設計， 但是不少教學動畫適合用在國內高中及國中與國小的科學課程 (例如物理的力學原理或是天文現象)。筆者在 2009 年找到這教材，並在國內的中小學推廣， 相信這精彩設計同時使用 CC 授權的動畫會帶給國內教育界，不一樣的感受。
